Sara Kendall is an alt-pop songwriter from Southborough, Massachusetts.A recent graduate from Berklee College of Music, she has managed to connect with listeners across the world through her introspective lyrics and haunting vocals.
Biography: A pianist from the age of 6, Kendall grew up the sleepy town of Southborough in Worcester County. Her songwriting developed throughout high school where it became a therapeutic release. She went on to attend Berklee College of Music in 2012 where she further explored lyric writing and dynamic instrumentation.
Taking inspiration from both female artists and novels alike, she has explored the depths of lyricism in her breadth of expressive material. Kendall’s lyrics are reflective on her life experience, and prove to be the perfect compliment to her haunting melodies and electronic production. Songwriting legends such as Stevie Nicks and Fiona Apple proved formative for her lyricism and her soaring vocals have been compared to Kate Bush.
With only four released songs, Sara has already been featured in online publications such as Boston Hassel and Vanyaland. Her recent single, "Love You More" was recently featured on Berklee College of Music's official Youtube channel and has received over 29,000 views.
Sara Kendall has played shows across Boston, at CMJ in New York, and has opened for national touring acts such as Bayonne, Zealyn, and Eliot Sumner. Look for Sara Kendall’s debut EP in the fall of 2016 on Spotify, Bandcamp, and iTunes.
